Lizzie and the Library Tree
The book tells the story of Lizzie who loves Story Time. One day the Storybook lady asks everybody to bring lots of twigs to the library. She and her friends become very enthusiastic and surprisingly, the twigs turn into a huge tree...

The story is suitable for 6- or 7 year olds for native speakers, and for 9- or 10 year olds if English is a second language. The book contains a colourful pop-up tree and a template for a heart.

About...
Carla Obbens Caroline Obbens has a longterm experience as a Senior and a Children's Librarian. The idea for writing 'Lizzie and the Library Tree' emerged from her experience at Fullwell Cross Library in London. Here she originated and realized the Library Tree Project to enhance the relationship between children and their library for the first time.
She is also the author of 'Bibliotheken en leeszalen in beeld' (ISBN 9028851046), a guide about the history of Dutch libraries.

The colourful illustrations were made with acrylic paint by Mariëlle Küper.
